My mom taught my siblings and me to knit when we were kids. My sister and I made tiny clothes for our Barbies and carpets for our dollhouse, while my brother knit covers for indoor hockey balls. She kept our hands busy while she enjoyed one of her favorite pastimes, never knowing she was planting the seeds of a lifelong passion.

Knitting truly became part of my life after I had my own babies. I needed a creative outlet–something I could pick up and put down in an instant. What started as simple hats for toddlers grew into a love for crafting wearables and cozy home goods, both for myself and others.

Knitting is more than just a craft for me–it’s a way to slow down, to feel close to my mom, and to find moments of calm in the chaos of everyday life. And then, of course, there’s the yarn itself. The textures, the colors, the sheer beauty of a well-spun skein–I could collect it forever and still never have enough.
